1. ABOUT THE SERVICE

Lizard Arcade ("we", "us", "the Site") is a free browser-based gaming platform available at thelizardarcade.co.uk. It provides free-to-play games, leaderboards, tournaments, a virtual coin economy and community features including a shoutbox and friends system.

Use of the Site is free. Optional paid features (such as Arcade Coin bundles) may be available; these are described in Section 6 and 7.

2. ELIGIBILITY

• You must be at least 13 years old to register an account.
• If you are between 13 and 17, you confirm you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Site.
• By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.
• Users in jurisdictions where this type of service is restricted must not use the Site.

3. ACCOUNTS

Registration

• You may create one account per person. Multiple accounts are not permitted.
• Choose a username that is not offensive, impersonating or misleading.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Do not share your account.
• We reserve the right to refuse or remove any username we consider inappropriate.

Account Security

• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account if you have not kept your credentials secure.

Account Deletion

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for details of what happens to your data on deletion.

4. ACCEPTABLE USE

When using Lizard Arcade you must not:

• Post content that is offensive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, hateful or illegal
• Harass, bully or intimidate other users
• Impersonate any person or entity, including Lizard Arcade staff
• Post spam, advertisements or promotional material in public areas
• Share personal information about other users without their consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or other users' accounts
• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses or any malicious code
• Scrape, crawl or otherwise extract data from the Site without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site's infrastructure

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban.

5. FAIR PLAY & ANTI-CHEAT

You must not:

• Use browser extensions, scripts, bots or any automated tools to manipulate game scores
• Exploit bugs or glitches to gain an unfair advantage — if you find one, please report it
• Use browser developer tools to alter game logic or inject false scores
• Coordinate with other players to artificially inflate tournament results
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or gain additional advantages

We use automated cheat detection. Accounts found cheating will be banned without notice. Tournament prizes earned through cheating will be revoked. Decisions about cheating bans are at our sole discretion.

If you believe you have been incorrectly flagged, contact us and we will review your case.

6. ARCADE COINS & VIRTUAL ITEMS

• Arcade Coins are a virtual in-game currency with no real-world monetary value.
• Coins earned through gameplay, daily spins, quests and challenges cannot be transferred to other accounts.
• Coins and virtual items (avatar icons, frames, titles) are licensed to you, not owned by you. They remain the property of Lizard Arcade.
• We reserve the right to adjust coin balances or item availability for any reason, including to correct errors or address abuse.
• Virtual items have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real money.
• Coins and items are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to another user.
• In the event that the Site closes permanently, no compensation will be paid for virtual currency or items.

7. PURCHASES

Where paid coin bundles or premium features are available:

• All prices are displayed in Great British Pounds (GBP) and include applicable VAT.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store payment card details.
• No refunds will be issued for Arcade Coins or virtual items once delivered to your account, except where required by law.
• Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you acknowledge that digital content is delivered immediately upon purchase and you waive your right to a 14-day cooling-off period.
• If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 14 days.
• Chargebacks made in bad faith may result in account suspension.

8. USER-GENERATED CONTENT

When you post content (shoutbox messages, profile bio, direct messages):

• You retain ownership of your content.
• You grant Lizard Arcade a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and store it as needed to operate the Site.
• You confirm your content does not infringe any third-party rights.
• We may remove any content that violates these Terms without notice.

Public messages (shoutbox) are visible to all visitors. Do not post personal information in public areas.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

• All games, artwork, graphics, logos and code on Lizard Arcade are owned by or licensed to Lizard Arcade.
• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
• You may share screenshots and score card images generated by the Site for personal, non-commercial social media use.
• "Lizard Arcade" and the Lizard Arcade logo are trademarks of the operator. You may not use them without permission.

10. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

• We aim to keep the Site available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We may perform maintenance, updates or take the Site offline at any time without notice.
• We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime, data loss or service interruptions.
• Features may be added, changed or removed at any time.

11. ACCOUNT TERMINATION

We may suspend or permanently ban your account without notice if you:

• Violate any of these Terms
• Are found cheating or exploiting the platform
• Engage in abusive behaviour toward other users or staff
• Attempt to access systems you are not authorised to use
• Provide false information during registration

Banned users may not create new accounts. Attempting to circumvent a ban (e.g. by re-registering) may result in device-level bans.

You may close your own account at any time by contacting us.

12. DISCLAIMER & LIABILITY

• We do not guarantee that games are error-free or that leaderboards are fully accurate at all times.
• We are not responsible for the content of external sites we link to.
• Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
• If you are a consumer in the UK, you retain statutory rights that cannot be excluded.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts.

If you are a consumer in the UK, you may also be able to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For significant changes, we will notify users via the Site's announcement system. Continued use of the Site after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
